While filming on location in Kenya, a tribal shaman approaches the director and declares, “Expect rain tomorrow.” The director doesn’t heed his warning, but sure enough, it pours the next day, causing a delay in shooting.
That evening, the director dispatches his assistant to retrieve the shaman. “What’s the forecast for tomorrow?” the director inquires. “Bigger rain, more wind,” the shaman predicts, and just as he prophesied, a massive storm rolls in, further delaying the shoot.
But then, the shaman goes missing for a week. Desperate and now reliant on his forecasts, the director sends his crew to find and return him.
Finally, they locate him and bring him back to the director’s tent. “What’s the weather going to be like tomorrow?” the director pleads anxiously.
“I haven’t a clue,” responds the shaman, “My radio batteries are dead.”
